The solar cooker is really quite an interesting new product and while it is useful for recreational boaters and campers, it also has the potential to help people in the Third World. The cooker is the invention of GoSun a young company with some big ideas. Here’s what their web site has to say:

“After a long morning disassembling a solar water heating device, GoSun founder and solar energy expert, Patrick Sherwin, realized that the vacuum tubes sitting next to him might be able to reheat his lunch. Any product that actually makes life easier (no combustible fuel) while doing the right thing for the environment is a win win.
