New Wash Mitt Cleans Fast, Without Swirls and Scratches

Wash Mitt

June 25, 2020

Anyone who has repeatedly used a rag to clean gelcoat, paint and delicate surfaces has seen the results accumulate over time: scratches and swirls. Shurhold’s new Chenille Microfiber Premium Scratch-Free Wash Mitt provides the confidence to wash the most sensitive boat part without worry and holds a massive amount of soapy water for fast work.

The Microfiber Wash Mitt is made from a premium, scratch-free 80/20 blended microfiber that traps dirt and debris deep within the material. This is essential when cleaning touchscreen displays and other soft, easily marred surfaces.

Thanks to the generous amount of material, the Microfiber Wash Mitt retains lots of water. This means less waste as it doesn’t drip off the mitt between the bucket and work area—with fewer trips, too. When using a premium quality boat soap like Shurhold Brite Wash, it cleans fast and efficiently.
Unlike common mitts from automotive outlets, Shurhold’s retains its softness for long periods in between cleaning. Rejuvenating the Chenille Microfiber Premium Scratch-Free Wash Mitt is easy. After machine-washing with other microfiber towels, it’s simply left to air dry.

A double-stitched wrist band ensures a snug, comfortable fit. One-size-fits-all, the Shurhold Chenille Microfiber Premium Scratch-Free Wash Mitt costs $8.98 USD in America.

Dedicated to educating boat owners, Shurhold provides key tips for boat value preservation at www.shurhold.com . Inventor of the One Handle Does It All system, Shurhold manufactures specialty care items and accessories to clean, polish and detail.

By Andy Adams

Over the years Canadian Yachting has had the pleasure of doing several boat review articles on new Neptunus models and we are familiar with the qualities that Neptunus is famous for. They have all been exceptional yachts, but this is the one I would most want to own myself. It’s a personal choice and a matter of taste as to whether you would prefer to have a sedan express model or a flybridge but in my opinion, the flybridge layout offers some wonderful attributes.

We met with Neptunus Managing Director Jan Willem De Jong this past fall to take the new Neptunus 650F out in Lake Ontario.

The Other Virgin Islands

Sunset off St John

By Mark Stevens

I was first seduced by the United States Virgin Islands during a ferry ride from St. Thomas to Tortola to begin one of our earliest British Virgin Islands charters nearly twenty years ago.

A perfect sunset off St. John with St. Thomas views for backdrop.

Clearing Pillsbury Sound, surrounded by voluptuous emerald mountains as the ferry sliced through royal blue waters, I was struck by the unspoiled ambiance of St. John, the island gliding past our starboard beam and the irresistible charm of a village called Cruz Bay visible from our quarter stern.
