With precise oil and fuel detection accuracy down to 0.04″, the BG-One minimizes the chance of environmental spills through selective pumping. Multiple modes of operation to work in any environment. Adjustable pump run times for normal (15-60 seconds, 15 seconds factory default) and after oil detection (3-10 seconds, 3 seconds factory default)). Built-in splash protection to prevent false activation in rough waters is adjustable and can be disabled.

  • Connects to any 12, 24 or 32 Vdc bilge pump and alarm panel

  • Oil detection down to 1 mm or 0.04 in

  • Five 14 gauge marine grade wires, 6 feet long

  • Max current 20 amps

  • 1 Amp max alarm output

  • Modes of operation:

    • Mode A (Marina) – factory default: Pump will turn ON when water is detected and turn OFF when oil or fuel is detected. Pump will turn back ON when only water is detected.

    • Mode B (Marine Sanctuary): Pump will turn ON when water is detected and turn OFF when oil or fuel is detected. Pump will remain OFF until the alarm and bilge is cleared (requires power cycling of device).

    • Standard Mode (High Seas): Pump will turn ON when any liquid is detected and turn OFF when there is no liquid detected.

Over the years Canadian Yachting has had the pleasure of doing several boat review articles on new Neptunus models and we are familiar with the qualities that Neptunus is famous for. They have all been exceptional yachts, but this is the one I would most want to own myself. It’s a personal choice and a matter of taste as to whether you would prefer to have a sedan express model or a flybridge but in my opinion, the flybridge layout offers some wonderful attributes.

I was first seduced by the United States Virgin Islands during a ferry ride from St. Thomas to Tortola to begin one of our earliest British Virgin Islands charters nearly twenty years ago.

A perfect sunset off St. John with St. Thomas views for backdrop.

Clearing Pillsbury Sound, surrounded by voluptuous emerald mountains as the ferry sliced through royal blue waters, I was struck by the unspoiled ambiance of St. John, the island gliding past our starboard beam and the irresistible charm of a village called Cruz Bay visible from our quarter stern.
