C-Tow a Must Have App and a Must Have Service

I reviewed the C-Tow app recently at the Toronto boat show and I was hooked. It was downloaded that night. And I joined C-Tow too to support a group that takes it roll so seriously they have invested into their future with an app that puts the boater first.

C-Tow is a Canadian company that’s been serving the Canadian boater since 1984. Its moniker of “Peace of Mind boating” has been reinforced again with the development of a new great app that in its wonderful functionality has truly filled a huge void. And C-Tow is also giving back in its support of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons in Canada.

In one app, all the must have “peace of mind” features are there. Simple to use and intuitive its clear the expertise and understanding of the boaters’ need was front and center in this apps design and development.

– Link to Fisheries and Oceans Canada Tide predictions for coastal areas

– See your speed and compass heading

– Locate nearby marinas, fuel docks and marine facilities.

Over the years Canadian Yachting has had the pleasure of doing several boat review articles on new Neptunus models and we are familiar with the qualities that Neptunus is famous for. They have all been exceptional yachts, but this is the one I would most want to own myself. It’s a personal choice and a matter of taste as to whether you would prefer to have a sedan express model or a flybridge but in my opinion, the flybridge layout offers some wonderful attributes.

Sunset off St John

I was first seduced by the United States Virgin Islands during a ferry ride from St. Thomas to Tortola to begin one of our earliest British Virgin Islands charters nearly twenty years ago.

A perfect sunset off St. John with St. Thomas views for backdrop.

Clearing Pillsbury Sound, surrounded by voluptuous emerald mountains as the ferry sliced through royal blue waters, I was struck by the unspoiled ambiance of St. John, the island gliding past our starboard beam and the irresistible charm of a village called Cruz Bay visible from our quarter stern.
