Trolling beauty shot

Our loyal reader Dave Pavlik took this shot from aboard his 27’ Sea Sport. He took this while salmon fishing in the Strait of Juan de Fuca near Port Renfrew BC. Blowing about 20 knots.

This CY Onboard feature celebrates your photos. You’ll be delighted to know we got five this week!! Up from two the first time, so momentum is building.

Send yours and join our tradition. Make it funny, beautiful (like the ones we received this week), weird, or simply reflective of the boating lifestyle. Whatever they are, we will share them with all of Canada and reward you for taking them.

Here are the rules – they must be taken from or near a boat. They must be your shots and free from copyright. Most importantly, they must be wonderful. Send them to us via CYonboard@kerrwil.com and put Photo in the subject line. So here we go:

We met with Neptunus Managing Director Jan Willem De Jong this past fall to take the new Neptunus 650F out in Lake Ontario.

Sunset off St John

By Mark Stevens

I was first seduced by the United States Virgin Islands during a ferry ride from St. Thomas to Tortola to begin one of our earliest British Virgin Islands charters nearly twenty years ago.

Clearing Pillsbury Sound, surrounded by voluptuous emerald mountains as the ferry sliced through royal blue waters, I was struck by the unspoiled ambiance of St. John, the island gliding past our starboard beam and the irresistible charm of a village called Cruz Bay visible from our quarter stern.
