Monte Carlo Yachts Returns to its Origins to Present the New MCY 76

Monte Carlo Yachts presented the new MCY 76 – alongside its sisters, the new MCY 70 and MCY 66 – during an enchanting evening in Porto Piccolo, in the Gulf of Trieste. The exclusive event was showered with special guests, inspiring light presentations, and inimitable classic Italian style. A welcome cocktail served on the seaside and a tasteful dinner anticipated the key moment of the evening. The third yacht of the announced next generation MCY line was presented as a celebration, a true tribute to light in front of 300 exclusive guests, owners, partners and international media.

The new MCY 76, the next embodiment of Monte Carlo Yachts’ first ever model, and its sisters on show stand for the company’s ongoing, organic evolution, which seeks to maintain its authentic, elegant and timeless appeal while continuously improving and innovating upon its prized core characteristics and defining traits. Innovation alongside continuity is the concept behind the second generation of the MCY Collection.

Over the years Canadian Yachting has had the pleasure of doing several boat review articles on new Neptunus models and we are familiar with the qualities that Neptunus is famous for. They have all been exceptional yachts, but this is the one I would most want to own myself. It’s a personal choice and a matter of taste as to whether you would prefer to have a sedan express model or a flybridge but in my opinion, the flybridge layout offers some wonderful attributes.

Sunset off St John

I was first seduced by the United States Virgin Islands during a ferry ride from St. Thomas to Tortola to begin one of our earliest British Virgin Islands charters nearly twenty years ago.

A perfect sunset off St. John with St. Thomas views for backdrop.

Clearing Pillsbury Sound, surrounded by voluptuous emerald mountains as the ferry sliced through royal blue waters, I was struck by the unspoiled ambiance of St. John, the island gliding past our starboard beam and the irresistible charm of a village called Cruz Bay visible from our quarter stern.
