POTW: Some holiday shots from our team

Jill

July 12, 2019

Just as you were, the people who labour in the trenches at CY were out on the water with their families over the Canada Day weekend too. And they took some photos that we are sharing for our Photos of the Week.

Jill caught this shot of her son Nolan in a celebratory Canada Day leap.

Elissa also caught her son Sidney with their friend’s water-loving dog Carling enjoying the holiday weekend off the dock.

Lovely stuff. Thanks, Jill and Elissa!

The POTW photo of the week can be anything photographed on or near your boat, boat shows, kids, pets, lunch, costumes, signs – you pick it and send your photos, with a bit of a back story, to CYonboard@Kerrwil.com;and put POTW in the subject line. Take the shots and send them now while the summer sun shines.

We met with Neptunus Managing Director Jan Willem De Jong this past fall to take the new Neptunus 650F out in Lake Ontario.

The Other Virgin Islands

Sunset off St John

By Mark Stevens

I was first seduced by the United States Virgin Islands during a ferry ride from St. Thomas to Tortola to begin one of our earliest British Virgin Islands charters nearly twenty years ago.

A perfect sunset off St. John with St. Thomas views for backdrop.

Clearing Pillsbury Sound, surrounded by voluptuous emerald mountains as the ferry sliced through royal blue waters, I was struck by the unspoiled ambiance of St. John, the island gliding past our starboard beam and the irresistible charm of a village called Cruz Bay visible from our quarter stern.
