Shellbacks FlagOfficially started in February 1934, The Shellback Club is celebrating its 86th year. To be “Shellback” today only requires attending a lunch meeting and joining everyone in singing a sea shanty. The location, as in past years, is the RCYC at 141 St George Street at Prince Arthur in Toronto (west exit of the St. George TTC station).

Boating BC 2019Through the advocacy of Boating BC Association, the Province has proclaimed August 24-30 as BC Boating Week - an opportunity to highlight the significance of the recreational boating sector, showcase the many opportunities that exist for anyone to get on the water and enjoy the boating lifestyle, and reinforce what it means to be a responsible boater.

York CupThe 30th year of the York Cup match race run at Toronto’s RCYC took place July 13-14, 2019 . This event, this year sailed in Sonars, is one of the season’s top match racing event.

Checking The Start LineHeld at Orcas Island Yacht Club on June 29 and 30, the 2019 M242 North American Championship had its biggest turnout at 27 boats since 2012, and Mike George with is team of Alan Field, Jennifer Hylander, and Jennifer Arrington, all from Los Angeles, won it for the 4th time. 

Lakeshore Raft PartyThe inaugural LSYC started with a simple concept – why not bring back the fun and good time racing of events of the past. A team of organizers put together a full slate of sponsors, a food truck and raft-up plan designed to bring a lot of people together for a summer party.
