We have heard from Transport Canada’s Boating Safety Contribution Program that our 2023 – 2025 proposal for continued funding of the Safety and Flare Disposal Program has not been approved.

However, we have received a small contribution from Transport Canada that will allow us to offer 10 events in 2023. CIL Orion and CPS-ECP remain committed to the program but without the considerable funding required we have had to cancel most of the events for 2023 that we were working on.

Ten events have been chosen for 2023 based on their locations and past collections.

It is our intention to re-apply for funding for the 2024 – 2026 seasons but there will be no guarantees.

We would like to sincerely thank CIL Orion for their support over the years. Without them this program would never have been possible.

We would also like to thank Transport Canada for the funds that will allow us to put on a very limited program this season.

Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
