This Saturday, visitors are welcome to meet the Greatest Loop Crew for an “Afternoon of Elegance” Cocktail Party with John Armstrong from Canadian Yachting Magazine at the Port Credit Yacht Club, from 3:30 pm till 8:00 pm on Saturday, May 26th.
Just a week ago on Tuesday, May 15th, Beneteau’s Swift Trawler 34 #202 left the Annapolis city dock to begin her four-month journey on the Great Loop.
The crew has been blessed with incredible weather conditions and smooth waters, and after spending the week end in New York City, they have already reached Lake Ontario, heading towards Toronto where they will spend the week end prior to entering the Trent-Severn passage.
Beneteau and our powerboat dealer in Ontario, Anchor Yachts, are pleased to invite you to a Cocktail Party with John Armstrong from Canadian Yachting Magazine at the Port Credit Yacht Club, in Port Credit, Ontario. The event will be held aboard The Greatest Loop from 3.30 pm till 8.00 pm on Saturday, May 26th. Your yacht club member/convener is John Armstrong; please mention his name as your contact when you arrive.
The Greatest Loop Crew have also planned visits to the Royal Canadian Yacht Club and the Island Yacht Club in Toronto, as well as sail-by and stop-overs at the Toronto Waterfront on Saturday morning and Sunday morning.
You’re invited to read detailed accounts of their travels on their blog, where the crew has been posting each day, at www.thegreatestloop.com/crewposts. You will also find on the web site a detailed log book with performance data from their travels.
Their online interactive map tracks the boat’s whereabouts in real-time, and very soon, followers will be able to exchange messages with the crew, so stay tuned!
For any enquiries about the Toronto events, please contact Mike Green from Anchor Yachts at 905-302-1580.
Meanwhile, if you would like to see the boat on route, you may fill out the contact form at www.theGreatestLoop.com, and we will get back to you.
