Jeep Gladiator TowingEver since I was a youngster Jeeps of all kinds have fascinated me. It wasn’t until the mid 70s that I finally had a chance to drive a CJ5 when I was in college. I was a little disappointed to say the least. Shifting the manual transmission was like the ten-ton truck I drove for a summer job a year before.

2021 Cadillac EscaladeA bit of a departure - CYOB’s contributor Glen has not yet run the Escalade, but we figure you would enjoy a look ahead. The photos come from GM, not taken towing Glen’s boat.

Ford Ranger at the MarinaIt is not often I get to drive the newer model of something I own. Most of the time the model I own has been replaced with a different vehicle. But as you may have guessed, I own a Ford Ranger.

Nissan Armada JIt is not that often I drive as big a vehicle as the Nissan Armada but I love the nautical name and figured we should look at it.I have to admit it took a few hours to get reoriented to a vehicle of this size and height. Now, if you are not that familiar with the Armada it is Nissans largest SUV in their lineup. You could compare it to the Chevy Suburban or the Ford Expedition.

Porsche MacanI will be honest, I am generally not a big fan of Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV). My wife and I own one and it handles all our day to day needs very well. The Macan on the other hand, is the first SUV that I really had a lot of fun tossing about.

Mirror Finish AnchorIn the April 2015 edition of CY magazine, I published an article on anchors and anchoring – Staying Put: I See Myself Anchoring Off …). Much of the article was about upgrading the anchor you currently have on your boat – you know – the one that was there when you bought the boat.

Mitsubishi OutlanderWhen I took the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV down to Wednesday night racing, the people that came over to inspect it out were truly surprised to see how roomy it was for an electrified vehicle.

Big BumperProtecting your boat from scratches and dents isn’t always easy. That’s why the Big Bumper Company worked for almost two years to develop a simple and inflatable bumper system. Lengths include 2, 4, 6, and 12 footers! And comes in 18 & 24 inch diameters!

KingstonBy Amy Hogue

Cruise into the city of Kingston, Ontario, and it will quickly become clear that this city and surrounding waterways have something special. Built around the northern shore of Lake Ontario, Kingston is the place to go if you love to explore new waterways, fantastic views, and exceptional boating opportunities.

Sitting at the intersection of three world-class Canadian bodies of water, Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Rideau Canal (Cataraqui River from Kingston to Newboro), the water’s influence is deeply woven into Kingston’s culture and history.
